Heritage liquor, manufactured from age-old recipes of aristocratic families of Rajasthan, will now be made available in exclusive shops all over the state.
The Rajasthan Ganganagar Sugar Mills, or GSM, will be producing the liquor, which consists of dry fruits, herbs and spices with breathtaking fragrance and flavour. The company is opening seven retail stores.
These shops will come up in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur and Bharatpur, company general manager O.P. Yadav told IANS.
The stores will have all types of heritage liquor including Royal Jagmohan, Chandrahas, Kesar Kasturi, Mawalin and Saunf.
Initially we plan to open one showroom in each of the cities. If everything goes as planned, we might go for an expansion, Yadav said.
Every salesman at the stores would be dressed in archetypical Rajasthani style, with princely turbans stealing the show.
Even the building of the showrooms would look like heritage buildings and would be decorated with old paintings and antique items.
GSM has also installed two distillery plants to increase the capacity of the production of heritage liquor.
The price of heritage liquor ranges from Rs.335 to over Rs.1,570 for a 750 ml bottle.
