German composer and instrumentalist Prem Joshua has acquired popularity and a fan following in the Pink city, Jaipur.
Music lovers recently experienced Joshuas soulful music, a fusion of contemporary western rhythms with the classical strings, at a live performance.
Joshua, who has been playing music since the age of five, has adopted all genres of music–Rock, Jazz and fusion. He finally opted for Indian classical music after attending a performance by renowned sitar player Pandit Ravi Shankar.
Joshua claims music that extends beyond geographical boundaries and binds people of world with its own language.
I find no problem in bringing music from all over the world together as one music. We are uniting music, this is world music, and this is true world music to bring cultures together. Its big fun playing music with these people. In music, we can speak one language, which is the language of joy. In this sense, the world music has a tremendous energy and capability of bringing people together , said Joshua.
