Plan to improve power scenario in Rajasthan villages
In a bid to improve power scenario in rural areas, the Jaipur electricity distribution company (Jaipur Discom) has come out with a unique programme under which the local villagers would look after the power supply management in the villages.
Its a first-of-its-kind initiative taken by us, R.G. Gupta chief managing director of Jaipur Discom said. The idea would first be implemented at Bagwada village in Jaipur district.
Depending on the success in Bagwada village, the scheme would later be implemented in all the 3,000 village panchayats coming under the jurisdiction of Jaipur Discom.
